Pacific Northwest fantasy artist, Amy Brown is a firm believer that "Art has no rules". Her art is sometimes whimsical, sometimes humorous, sometimes dark and mysterious.
"...When asked to explain my work",says Brown, "I often try to remain vague on the specifics". She would much rather you look at her paintings and think "I want to be there' or 'I would like to know that creature better.'
Of her book The Art of Amy Brown, Charles de Lint says "The paintings in it have their own eloquent voices which will enlighten you far more than I ever could. Turn the page and see for yourself!"
This book contains more than 150 of nearly 900 paintings Brown completed over a period of ten years.
